Consultation Services

 
  • General Education: Provide general information to both offices and specific attorneys regarding mental health and psycholegal issues.

  • Access to Relevant Research: Provide psychological and psychiatric research with relation to case specific factors.

  • Trial Strategy Consultation: Identification of factors to address and presentation of evidence to support defense/prosecution theories. Observation and assessment of relevant courtroom proceedings and their impact on trial outcomes.

  • Witness Preparation: Assessment of validity and reliability of witnesses. Development of strategies to improve quality of testimony.

  • Expert Witness Testimony: Provide educational testimony regarding psycholegal issues (e.g. diagnosis, behavior, manifestation of symptoms). Location and selection of expert witnesses, if necessary.

  • Cross Examination: Development of strategies for effective cross examination of expert witnesses.
